Frequently Asked Questions
- How do I remove extra spaces from text?
- Paste your text, tick the cleanup options you want — collapse multiple spaces, trim line starts and ends, remove blank lines — and click Clean Text. The cleaned result appears below with before-and-after character counts.
- What is the difference between removing and collapsing blank lines?
- Removing blank lines deletes every empty line so all text lines sit directly beneath each other. Collapsing blank lines keeps paragraph separation but reduces any run of several blank lines to a single one.
- What does the remove all line breaks option do?
- It joins every line into one continuous paragraph, replacing each line break with a single space. This is useful for text copied from PDFs, where lines break in the middle of sentences.
- Does the tool remove tabs as well as spaces?
- Yes. The collapse option treats runs of spaces and tabs together, replacing any mix of them with a single space, and the trim option strips both from the starts and ends of lines.
- Is my text stored or uploaded?
- No. All cleanup happens locally in your browser — nothing you paste is sent to a server or saved.
