Count anything with one or more named counters. Click the big +1 button, or press the space bar to increment the selected counter. Your counts are saved in your browser automatically.

Frequently Asked Questions
- How do I use the tally counter?
- Click the big +1 button to count up, or press the space bar to increment the selected counter without touching the mouse. The minus button steps a count back down, and Reset returns a counter to zero.
- Can I count several things at once?
- Yes. Click Add Counter to create as many counters as you need, and rename each one by typing in its name field. A total across all counters is shown at the bottom.
- Which counter does the space bar increment?
- The selected counter, shown with a highlighted border. Use the Select control on a counter card — pressing its +1 button also selects it. The shortcut is ignored while you are typing in a text field, so renaming a counter never adds counts.
- Will my counts survive a page reload?
- Yes. Counters and counts are saved in your browser's local storage automatically, so closing the tab or reloading the page picks up right where you left off. Nothing is sent to a server.
- What can I use a tally counter for?
- Anything you count by hand: laps, attendance, inventory, birds spotted, filler words in a speech, repetitions at the gym, or scores in a casual game. Multiple named counters make it easy to track several categories side by side.
