- How do I pick a random name from a list?
- Paste your names into the text box, one per line, and click Pick. The tool selects a name at random and highlights it. You can also pick several names at once by raising the "Names to pick" number.
- Can I stop the same name from being picked twice?
- Yes. Tick "Remove picked names from the pool" and every winner is taken out of the running. The pool count shows how many names are left, and Reset Pool puts everyone back in.
- Is the random name picker truly random?
- Each pick uses your browser's built-in random number generator, so every name in the pool has an equal chance. No name is favored by position or spelling.
- Can I use this for raffles and giveaways?
- Yes. Paste your entrants, enable "Remove picked names from the pool" so nobody wins twice, and pick as many winners as you need. The history list keeps a record of every draw in order.
- Are the names I paste uploaded anywhere?
- No. The picker runs entirely in your browser — your list never leaves your device and nothing is stored on a server.
