Frequently Asked Questions
- How does the text diff checker work?
- Paste the original text in the left box and the revised text in the right box, then click Compare. The tool highlights lines that were added (green), removed (red), or unchanged so you can quickly spot every difference.
- Can I use this to compare essay drafts?
- Yes. Paste an earlier draft in the original box and your revised version in the revised box. The diff view instantly shows every change you made between the two versions.
- Is the comparison case-sensitive?
- Yes. The comparison is case-sensitive, so a line with "Introduction" and a line with "introduction" are treated as different lines.
- What do the colors mean in the diff output?
- Green lines are additions that appear in the revised text but not the original. Red lines are deletions that were in the original but removed in the revision. Lines with no background color are unchanged.
