Frequently Asked Questions
- How do I generate random letters?
- Choose uppercase, lowercase, or both, set how many letters you want (1 to 100), and click Generate. The letters appear as chips you can copy all at once.
- Can I exclude certain letters?
- Yes. Type any letters you want to skip into the "Exclude letters" field — for example Q, X, and Z for a word game. Excluded letters are removed from the pool in both cases.
- What does the allow repeats option do?
- With repeats allowed, each letter is drawn independently, so the same letter can appear several times. With repeats off, every letter in the batch is different — so you can request at most as many letters as remain in the pool.
- How does the "both cases" mode work?
- In both-cases mode the pool contains all 52 letters — "a" and "A" count as two separate letters, so with repeats off you could draw both in one batch.
- Is the random letter generator free?
- Yes. It is completely free, requires no sign-up, and runs entirely in your browser.
