- How do I translate text to Morse code?
- Type or paste your text into the input box. The tool converts each letter, digit, and supported punctuation mark to International Morse code, separating letters with a space and words with a forward slash.
- How does the tool know whether my input is Morse or text?
- By default it auto-detects: input made up of only dots, dashes, slashes, and spaces is treated as Morse code and decoded; anything else is encoded to Morse. You can override the detection with the direction toggle.
- How are letters and words separated in Morse code?
- This tool follows the common written convention: one space between letters and a forward slash (/) between words. When decoding, it accepts a slash with or without surrounding spaces.
- Which characters are supported?
- Letters A-Z, digits 0-9, and common punctuation: period, comma, question mark, apostrophe, exclamation mark, slash, parentheses, ampersand, colon, semicolon, equals, plus, minus, underscore, quotation mark, dollar sign, and at sign.
- What happens to characters Morse code cannot represent?
