- How does the hashtag generator work?
- Paste a caption or a list of keywords and click Generate. The tool strips punctuation, removes common stop words (the, and, with...), deduplicates, and turns each remaining word — and each multi-word phrase separated by commas or line breaks — into a hashtag.
- Should I use camelCase or lowercase hashtags?
- CamelCase (#SocialMediaTips) is easier to read and better for screen-reader accessibility, and hashtags are not case-sensitive on any major platform. Lowercase (#socialmediatips) is the more common informal style. The toggle lets you switch instantly.
- How many hashtags should I use per platform?
- Instagram allows up to 30, though 5-15 focused tags usually perform better. On X (Twitter), 1-2 is the norm. TikTok posts typically use 3-6, and LinkedIn 3-5. The tool shows your count against each platform's guidance.
- Can I add my own hashtags manually?
