- Paste your lines into the input box, type the text you want in the prefix field, and click Apply. The prefix is added to the start of every line at once.
- Can I add a prefix and a suffix at the same time?
- Yes. Fill in both fields and each line comes out as prefix + line + suffix in a single pass. For example, a double quote in both fields wraps every line in quotation marks.
- What do the preset buttons do?
- The presets fill the fields for common jobs: wrap every line in double quotes, add a comma to the end of each line, turn lines into a markdown bullet list, or number the lines 1. 2. 3. and so on.
- What does skip empty lines mean?
- With skip empty lines checked, blank lines pass through unchanged instead of receiving the prefix and suffix. This keeps paragraph breaks clean when formatting spaced-out lists.
- Can I turn a list into code-ready values?
- Yes. A common workflow is to wrap each line in quotes and add a comma suffix, producing lines like "apple", ready to paste into an array, SQL IN clause, or CSV column.
